Roberts finished eighth with an eight-over, 152 as the top Alabama State men's golf individual at the ASU Spring Invitational on Monday at the Arrowhead Country Club.
The Alabama State men were third after the opening round but dropped to eighth overall after battling the course on a gusty, windy day.
Kentucky State claimed the team title with a 606-team aggregate score followed by Arkansas-Pine Bluff (614) and Texas Southern (622) and Miles College (622).
Tennessee State and Alabama A&M tied for fifth (626) to round out the top five in the 10-team field.
Texas Southern's Kci Lindskog was the top medalist with a two-over, 146 edging Robert Johnson of Kentucky State by one stroke.
