BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced Wednesday that Alabama State University senior outside hitter Jyriah Morgan has been named the SWAC Offensive Player of the Week.

The Pleasant Grove, Ala., native opened the season collecting 39 kills at the Wildcat Classic hosted by the University of Arizona.

She hit .333 during the three matches and her 18 kills against Fresno State and 13 kills against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi were both match-highs. She averaged 13 kills per match and 4.33 kills per set. 

She also added four digs and four total blocks while picking up 41.5 points for her performance.
