KANSAS CITY, Mo. | United Soccer Coaches announced the College Team Academic Award winners this week with Alabama State earning the recognition on the women's side.
 
The award recognizes student-athlete's exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
 
A total of 812 soccer teams (313 men, 499 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 183 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievement of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over a full academic year.
