Lady Hornets Win Season-Opener Against Mobile 2-1

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Alabama State Lady Hornets began their 2024 season with a 2-1 win over Mobile on Saturday afternoon. The game was played at Escambia Park Stadium, in the Ashton Brosnahan Athletic Complex.

In the first half, the Hornets fell behind after Mobile scored in the 31st minute. The Hornets trailed 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Emma Goetz knotted the match 1-1 in the 58th minute, and Kensley Simmons scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute.
